Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a fabulous day. :) If not, maybe this post will inspire you to give yourself a little pamper day and let all your worries or stress melt away.
I am actually really excited about today's post because it is all about two of my favorite things, (especially for my skin) avocado and honey. Together they create such an awesome face mask that you will be wanting to using it every day!
If you cannot tell by the picture, you will need an avocado (1/4 if only for one person) and some honey (about 1 tbsp). I'm almost positive that most of us have these two things already in our fridges/pantry anyways! Once you do have the two of them, you just want to mix them together in a small bowl, and you're ready for some relaxation time.
Now, you may be wondering why I'm telling you to rub avocado and honey all over your face. Well, let me just tell you, and you may be surprised why!
-has fatty acids that act as a fabulous moisturizer for the skin, keeping it soft and hydrated
- are an excellent source antioxidant carotenoids, which protects your skin from environmental damage that may cause wrinkles and other signs of aging
-has vitamin E, which also helps fight against the look of aging skin
-is full of vitamin C that is an antioxidant and helps with the firmness of your skin
-treats acne as well as prevents it because it's a natural antibacterial (the main reason why I love it!)
-gives the skin a glowy look since it moisturizes and soothes
-has antioxidants that slow down the aging process of your skin
See! Isn't it amazing how something created by the earth can be full of such amazing things? When you buy these items organic, that just makes their benefits even greater! Plus, when you do use the mask, it's a very cool and refreshing feel on the skin. It leaves it feeling very clean and definitely moisturized! :)
I really hope you enjoyed this little tid-bit and look into the fabulous-ness that is mother nature! If avocado isn't really your thing, I also did a post way back when about a mask made of honey and apple cider vinegar. That mask is just as good but a little bit more sticky! Regardless, our skin can always use a pick me up, and what better way than with natural ingredients? :)
